ⓘ Inverted Aeration Cone — How It Works

The steel cone sits at the silo base with apex pointing UP. Pressurised air passes through it to fluidise fly ash for blending. Material fills the annular space around the cone — not inside it. Net material volume in this zone = ⅔ · A · Hcone (cylinder section minus the solid cone), not the ⅓ formula used for discharge funnels.
