Null Point Dynamics – Notes
Null point = where cooler under-grate pressure crosses hood pressure. Shift right = more recuperation (hot secondary air), shift left = cooling zone over-draft. Maintain hood ΔP at -1 to -3 mmWG. ESP trip pushes NP to C1 instantly – positive blowback alarm. Cooler efficiency target ≥70%, clinker exit <120°C.
